O’Neil Felix Clement, Jr. passed peacefully away on Friday, March 11, 2022, at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to the late Charleen Ann Doizé Clement; loving father of Michael Clement (Tracy), David Clement (Lauren), Jeffrey Clement (Tamara) and William ‘Billy’ Clement (Lindsey); proud grandfather of Zachary, Noah, Michael-Carson Bailey (Jason), David Jr., Cole, Colin, Daniel, Miranda, Meghan and Mallory Clement; and brother of John Clement. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Rita Jacobs Clement and O’Neil Felix Clement, Sr.; and by his sister, the late Jane Clement Roussel. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
O’Neil was a loving husband and proud father. He was an air traffic controller during his service in the US Navy. He was an experienced and well traveled salesman throughout the Southeast United States. His favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting and spending time with his 4 boys. He enjoyed volunteering to drive the Holy Cross Tiger Marching Band bus and watching numerous cross country and swim meets. He enjoyed his time at the New Orleans Fairgrounds race track with his wife, the track nurse. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin in O’Neil’s memory at 3:00 PM. He will be laid to eternal rest, with military honors, in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Holy Cross Tiger Band, or the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org, in O’Neil’s memory.
