Nicholas Mazza

Nicholas Mazza passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the age of 86. Preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Dorothy Forster Mazza and his parents, Julius Mazza and Rose Marie Maranto Mazza. His memory will live on through his 3 daughters, Gwenn Satter (Jay), Barbara Kelley (Howard) and Susan Baudin. He was a loving grandfather to 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by his longtime companion, Dolores Hunter and 3 sisters. Nicholas was a native of St. Bernard Parish for 54 years and resided in Picayune, MS for the past 10 years. He had a lifelong career in the Maritime/Transportation Industry. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Park Provence Assisted Living and Davita Dialysis of Slidell for their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
