Mildred Jeanfreau Martin went home to be with the Lord at 8:00PM on June 23, 2014 at the Carpenter House St Joseph Hospice at the age of 88. She was a native of Pointe-a-la-Hache and Wills Point in Plaquemines Parish. She lived in Clinton, Louisiana for 5 years since Hurricane Katrina. Survived by Jimmy Martin (only child), and his wife Susan (daughter-in-law). Preceded in death by her husband Adolph H. Martin, Jr.; her parents James and Adrienne Jeanfreau; brothers Albert, Nelson, Roy and Percy Jeanfreau; and sisters Dorothy Adams and Thelma Lawrence. Mildred had two grandchildren, Jacquelyn Martin Baumann (husband Todd Baumann) and Erick Martin (wife Mandy Martin) and two great-grandchildren Emma Baumann and Clark Martin whom she greatly enjoyed spending time with. The family would like to thank all the doctors, especially Dr. Timothy Lindsey, and the entire staff at Carpenter House St. Joseph for all their undivided care in her final days. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, June 26th from 11:30AM – 2:30PM, followed by a celebration of her life beginning at 2:30PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
