Loyston James Guillory Jr.

Loyston “Junior” James Guillory Jr. lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Beloved son of the late Loyston James Guillory Sr. and Dorothy Marie Baudoin Guillory. Loving father of Loyston “Chip” James Guillory III. Brother of Annette Marie Rosierie, Janet Ann Hauth (Lee Garner) and the late Bruce Anthony Guillory (Cheryl). Proud uncle of Jessica Mozingo. (Brandon), Jacquelyn Turner (Syl) and Brandon Rosierie. Great uncle of Eden, Rose and Syl Lou. He is also survived by many friends.

Loyston was born on October 7, 1946 and began his career as an auto mechanic and interior detailer. He went on to work for KLM as a long haul truck driver and Zapps regionally. He enjoyed coin & stamp collecting, cars, drag racing, motorcycles and socializing at his favorite taverns. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a funny jokester (usually corny) and his kind hearted spirit.

His final wishes was to be cremated then inurnment into his family’s mausoleum site. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life to be held at 4201 Lake Villa Ave., Metairie, LA on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 4:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
