Linda Laine Landry

Linda Mary Laine Landry passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the age of 71. She was the cherished wife of John D. Landry. Loving mother of Denise B. Burdette (Ted “Chip”) and Keith J. Bordelon (Christina). Step-mother of Chrissie Lauricella (Leo), Susan Dore (Butch), Dana Pellerin (Justin), Shannon Petney (Benny) and the late Warren Allen Perez Jr. Daughter of the late Jessie Laine and Bernice Aupied Laine. Sister of Suzette L. Hickman (Kevin). Proud grandmother of Taylor Thies (Brittany), Morgan Thies, Kaitlyn Bordelon, Kyle Bordelon, Chloe Bordelon, Emiley Kackley (Tyler) and Ashlee Case (Dalton). Step-grandmother of Christi Perez, Camryn Perez, Shana Bennett, Shay Norton, Shanda Norton, Shelby Harrison, Alex Vullo, Ethan Nata, Aubrey Landry, Bailey Landry and Hanna Petney. Linda is also survived and fondly remembered by her 9 great grandchildren, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Linda was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Poplarville, MS. She truly enjoyed life through her pleasures of traveling, singing in the choir, gardening, writing, creating beautiful floral arrangements, taking pictures and spending time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful example of what it means to care for others. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by us all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, September 24th from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a celebration of Linda’s life beginning at 11:00AM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
