Lena Margaret Spano DiFatta passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph James DiFatta Sr. Loving mother of Joseph James DiFatta Jr. (Marilyn), Susan Ann DiFatta Badeaux (Chuck) and the late Byron Anthony DiFatta and Maxine DiFatta. Sister of the late Peter, Angelo, Mary, Jane and Jean. Proud grandmother of Lisa DiFatta, Jina Harper, Aimee Jeffcoat, Byron Badeaux, Corey Badeaux and Brandolyn Tessier. Great grandmother of Taylor, Garret, Drew, Blake, Jayden, Jason, Daphne, Donovan, Madelyn, Aurora, Aubrey and the late Gabby. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Lena was born on December 15, 1931 in New Orleans, LA. She was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Bay St. Louis, MS. She was a member of the St. Bernard Art Guild for over 25 years, making her their oldest member. Lena was talented and giving, she never met a stranger and made sure to tell everyone she met that she loved them. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her family, friends and all of those whose lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA.
