Kirk Howard Lewis

Kirk Howard Lewis, Sr. passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the age of 54. He was preceded in death by his beloved son Kirk H. Lewis, Jr.; his father Frank A. Lewis, Jr.; and his siblings Rickie Lewis, Lisa Lewis and Dennis Lewis. He is survived by his mother Kay P. Lewis; his sons Chad M. Lewis (Leslie) and Aaron Johnson; his grandchildren Nathaniel Morgan, Shailin Lewis, Easton Lewis, Addilyn Claire Lewis, Dayton Lewis and Kade Lewis; his siblings Rebecca Tipton, Frank Lewis III (Donna "Dago"), Terry Lewis, (Bridget "Slim") Kronlage, and (Kim "Jerk"). Mills. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and dear friends. Kirk was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where he enjoyed spending time with friends and family, sharing in his many pastimes of fishing, cooking, dancing, gardening, listening to music, riding his motorcycle, loving his pets & animals and occasionally aggravating us until he laughed. Kirk’s passing is a reminder that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. Although we will miss his warm smile, laughter and great sense of humor every day, he will forever remain in our hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, August 26th from 10:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass in Kirk’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
