John Carol Suire

John Carol Suire passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the age of 78. He was the beloved spouse of Frances Manich Suire for 50 years. Son of the late Emile and Euphemie Schexnider Suire. Son-in-Law of the late Joseph and Louise Manich. Brother of Olite Reynolds (Frank) and the late William Suire (Ada), Eddie Suire (Gladys), Paul Suire (Delores), Clarence Suire (Mary Lynn), Eta Mire (Acey), Olita Hargrave (Lovelace) and Estha Suire (Marie). Brother-in-Law of Rosemarie Miller (Kenneth). Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

John was a longtime resident of Braithwaite, LA until Hurricane Isaac and a current resident of Slidell, LA. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Southwestern University (U.L.L.) and his Masters from Tulane University. John continued his education at National Judicial College in Reno, NV. He retired as an Administrative Judge after many years of service.

John was a United States Army Veteran (Medical Corps). He was a parishioner of Assumption of Our Lady Catholic Church in Braithwaite, LA and then St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Slidell, LA. John was a devout Catholic and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. He was awarded the St. Louis Medallion. John was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
