Janet Lange Arnold

Janet Anna Lange Arnold passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at the age of 85. She was the cherished wife of 48 years to the late Henry Stafford Arnold Sr. Loving mother of Henry Arnold Jr. (Cindy LaFond Arnold) and Gary Arnold (Melanie Diodene Arnold). Daughter of the late Leo Sylvester Lange Sr. and Lucille Louise Ecuyer Lange. Sister of Charles Lange and the late Leo Lange Jr. and Benedict Lange. Proud grandmother of Blake Arnold, Connor Arnold, Laine Arnold Moreau, Jes Arnold and Quinn Arnold. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Janet was born in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. A devoted family member and faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Violet, Janet lived her life grounded in love and compassion. Her passions included sewing and bowling, where she cherished the time spent with her friends. An avid reader and a lover of Yorkies, she adored her beloved dog, “Sugar,” who brought her so much joy. Janet found pleasure in the details of everyday life, always caring deeply for those around her.

Janet will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty, her caring spirit, and the warmth of her laughter. She had a unique gift for making others feel special, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved to spoil. Her dedication to family and friends exemplified her belief in the importance of caring for others.

She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, dear Janet. We will always cherish and celebrate your legacy of love and kindness.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at OUR LADY OF LOURDES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2621 Colonial Blvd, Violet, LA on Wednesday, November 6th from 10:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass in memory of Janet beginning at 12:00PM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Roch Cemetery No. 1 in New Orleans, LA at a later date.
