James R. Nelson II born March 31, 1968 in Mt. Pleasant, MI passed November 7, 2023, at the age of 55. James (aka Jay) lived a life full of love, music, entertainment, and animals. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be fondly remembered as a kind soul to his family, friends and all his “kittie babies”. James is survived by his mother, Wendy Kirby and stepfather Robert Don Kirby, his brother Ryan Houlihan & wife Jennifer Jane, special aunt & uncle Gail and Mike McCormick. He will be reunited in the next life with his father James R. Nelson and grandparents Lester & Phyllis Nelson and Charles & Phyllis Post. He is now at peace and is missed deeply.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, December 3rd from 2pm to 5pm at 830 N. Rampart St, New Orleans, LA 70116. In lieu of flowers please send donations in his name to Heaven’s Pets at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
