I am in complete shock. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I had so much fun going to several dances in high school with Eric. I am so honored to have met such a fun-loving and kind person. I regret not keeping in touch with him throughout these years. His presence is sorely missed. I send all my love to you all. Grief is how we express value. It is love without a place to go. I am so heartbroken to hear about Eric. 
We went to USM together and were fast friends both being from Chalmette. Although it's been a few years since I'd last seen him, I will always remember him as a genuine, warm, and overall great person--you just loved being around him and his laughter was infectious.  It's impossible to make sense of why this has happened, but please know that Eric was loved and so many of us feel lucky just to have known him.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
