Edward Charles Clark III

Edward "Foots" Charles Clark III passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Jacquelyn Sperandeo Clark. Loving father of Kevin J. Clark Sr., Laura Clark Hiers (Troy) and the late Edward "Bullwinkle" Clark IV. Brother of the late Janice McConnell and Joan Parides. Son of the late Edward C. Clark Jr. and Nola Walley Clark. Proud grandfather of Hailey Hiers, Jaret Hiers, Kaylie Hiers, Danielle Fabre, Brook Clark, Mina Janssens and the late Kevin J. Clark Jr. He is also survived and fondly remembered by his 8 great grandchildren, along with many dear friends.

Edward was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Ponchatoula, LA. Edward proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and enjoyed a long career as a proud electrician with the IBEW Local 130. He truly enjoyed life through his simple pleasures of hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Some of his fondest memories were Elk hunting with his son Ed before he lost his battle with cancer. Fishing and hunting trips with Kevin Sr and Kevin Jr, taking his daughter Laura crawfishing but realizing she’s a girl so he never missed her dance recitals. He will be sadly missed by all. The Family would like to express many thanks to St Tammany Hospital and Hospice for their care and support.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, June 9th from 11:00AM - 1:00PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
