Edith Harris Davis

Edith Albie "Billie" Davis, age 82, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018. She was born in Marengo County, Alabama, in 1936, and was a resident of Braithwaite, Louisiana. She was the beloved wife of the late Arlin Junior Davis. Loving mother of Allen L. Harris (Charlene), Wanda Dean Buffonet, and Johnny A. Davis (Yvonne). Sister of Archie Sterrett (Jane). Daughter of the late Nellie Sterrett. Grandmother of Nicole Davis, Daniel Harris, Margaret Ann, Angela, Arlin, Ina and Robert. Great-grandmother of Sylvia and Henry Harris, and many other great-grandchildren. Mrs. Billie was a homemaker, and loved doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an independent woman, and took great pride in keeping up with the latest fashions, always wanting to be "in style." She loved spending time with Mr. Arlin, her family, singing karaoke, shopping, and going to the casino. She was much loved, and will be missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRUTE STREET, in Chalmette on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
