Earl Paul Frank, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the age of 99. He was the son of the late Rudolph and Alma Mahe Frank. Earl was born in New Orleans, LA and resided in Arabi, LA for many years. He was the loving husband of the late Gloria Dougall Frank. He is survived by their children, Nancy DiMaggio (David) and Richard Frank (Donna); 7 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, goddaughter, Lynn Saia (Vincent), nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his children, Ronald “Ronnie” Frank and Carol Ann Frank; his siblings, John Able (Margo), Liberty Ebeling (Marcus), Rudolph Frank Jr., and Shirley Walker (Ray).
Earl was a proud veteran of World War II United States Army, Private First Class with Company “F” 311th Infantry Regiment 78th Division. He served his country in England, France, Belgium and Holland. While serving in Germany he was wounded in battle and as a result of this received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Mr. Frank worked as a mail carrier and clerk at the Arabi Post Office for over 30 years. During that time he was recognized on numerous occasions for his hard work and dedication. He was a lifetime member of the Hinton Causey VFW Post and DAV in Arabi. He was also a member of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors, Local Creole #43, Inc. He was an avid clock and watch collector. He loved sharing his knowledge and adding new finds to his collections from auctions and estate sales. He enjoyed spending time outdoors nurturing his plants and fish pond. He shared a love of cars with his son, Ronnie Frank and they enjoyed attending car auctions together.
Earl will be deeply missed by his family and those who lives he touched. He will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal father, grandfather and great- grandfather who enriched our lives with love and cherished memories.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 11:00 AM-1:00PM. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony.
