Dorothy Carle Frey

Dorothy Louise Carle Frey passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the age of 74. She was the cherished wife of the late John Arthur Frey. Loving mother of Alissa Frey Conrad (Duane). Daughter of the late Dean and Henrietta Newell Carle. Sister of Dianne Carle Sparcella (Joe) and the late Ronald Sheldon and Henry Dean Carle (Hazel). Proud grandmother of Braden Michael Conrad and Brennan Michael John Conrad. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, stepchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Dorothy was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Slidell, LA. She enjoyed a career as a clerk with Whitney Bank and filled her spare time with friends and family. She was a dedicated and loving mother and friend to many. She will be missed by all who were touched by her love, kindness, laughter and compassion. Special thanks to the Neuro ICU at Ochsner Hospital, Pulse Home Healthcare, Dr. Brian Pettiford & team and Dr. Sadi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, October 30th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a memorial service in Dorothy’s name beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery No. 1 in New Orleans, LA.
