Dominick "Lonney" Sciortino

Dominick “Lonney” Sciortino passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. He was 71 years old. He was the loving husband of Charmaine Usner Sciortino; devoted father of Danean Gouzien (Aaron), Dawn Huth (Sean), Chantel Theady (Mark), Brandon Zeringue (Teresa) and Dominick Sciortino, Jr. (Cathy Jane); proud grandfather of Aaron II, Blake, Joshua, Felicity, Bryce, Ashley, Phillip, and Lanie; and great-grandfather of Kadence. He is also survived by his three sisters, his dog Paulina, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

Lonney was preceded in death by his first wife, the late Wanda Faye Sciortino; his parents, the late Reba Bennett Sciortino and Thomas Sciortino; and by his late brother and two sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, September 19, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held in Lonney’s memory at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
