Dinh Kim Nguyen

Dinh Kim Nguyen entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 22, 2016 at the age of 79. He was born in Vietnam in 1936 and brought his family to the United States in 1975. Dinh was the beloved husband of Thom Nguyen; loving father to KimAnh (Nghia), KimSang (Thai), Soi (Hoc), Steve-Uoc (Lan), Huan, Luyen (Sang), Donny (Uyen), and John (Linda); grandfather to Andy (Jannie), Tony (Angel), Vivian, Tommy, ViAnh, Anthony, Kevin, ThyAnh, Mindy, MaiAnh, Amy, Nathan, Kenny, Sean, Luc, ThyLynn, Lilyan, Laney, Matthew, Casey, Jasmine, Ethan, Joshua, Jaden, and Jacquelin; and Great Grandfather to Aiden and Jacob. A longtime resident of New Orleans, he worked as a furniture refinisher for DuBos Refinishers for over 20 years, retiring in 2008. An active member of Mary Queen of Vietnam Church, he devoted a lot of his time to prayer and service in the community. He enjoyed good company, nature, and spending time with his family. Through small gestures, Dinh shared his love and generosity with those who surrounded him and was admired by many for his kindness. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Mary Queen of Vietnam Church, Friday, January 29, 2016 at 6:00PM with visitation to follow. On Saturday, January 30, 2016, a Mass of Catholic Burial will begin at 9:30AM at Mary Queen of Vietnam Church. Burial Service will follow at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
