David Allen Ard

He is survived by his companion, Cynthia Barras; his son, Joshua Ard; his daughters, Jessica Moreau (Chris), and Jacie Ard; his granddaughter, Alyssa Moreau; brother-in-law, Steven Smith; sisters, Lynne Gonsoulin (Pat), Sandra Pinell (Kevin), Cathy Usie (Wendell), and Lisa Pellegrin (Mark); sister-in-law, Mindy Landry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the late JoAnne Olivier Ard and Allen Paul Ard; by his grandparents, the late Dulcie Boquet Olivier and Curtis Olivier and Agnes and Olen Ard; his brother, the late Ronnie Ard; his sisters, the late Pamela Boquet and Connie Smith; brother-in-law, Horace Boquet; and nephews, Anthony “Tony” Pinell, Ryan Usie, and Aaron Pellegrin.

David was a machinist for Guzman’s Machine Works, in Paulina, Louisiana. He was a man of deep commitment to his faith and family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin in David’s memory at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
