Connor Joseph Lambert

Connor Lambert, 25, of Saint Bernard, LA, passed away on March 22, 2022 in Arabi, LA. Beloved son of Tonya Sheppard Lambert and Robert Joseph Lambert Jr. Brother of Kaleb Lambert, his wife Paige Gonzales Lambert, and sister Callie Lambert. Grandson of Sue and Henry Sheppard (MawMaw and PawPaw) and Mary Angela and Robert Lambert Sr. (Mimi and PawPaw Bob). Godson to Tracy (Pa) and Linda Morgan and Shelley Lambert Ducote (Nanny). Godfather (Pa) to Axel Ducote.

Connor was a native of Saint Bernard Parish, LA, born on February 17, 1997. He excelled at his alma mater, Chalmette High School, where he was so much more than a student. He was a National Merit Scholar and a true standout athlete - the perfect package of intelligence, charisma, compassion, and athleticism. He then graduated from the University of Lafayette with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to work in Aerospace and Dynamics at Stennis Space Center. Connor was an exceptional man - comedic relief, handsome, sarcastic, loving, and always the life of the party. While it’s easy to say that Connor never knew a stranger, he was so much more than just friendly. His “large circle” of “close friends” is a tribute to his character. His love for his crew is something that is admired by anyone who knows him. Connor has always taken care of the people that he loves, but most of all, he took the best care of his cherished puppy. If you wanted to know her name, he would say “just Aska.” Aska was the light of Connor’s life, holding on to her until his very last breath. Connor remains the strongest man we’ve ever known.

Family, friends, and anyone who would like to honor Connor are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue Street, in Chalmette. A receiving line will begin at 8:30 AM and end at 12:30 PM. A funeral service will begin in Connor’s memory at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
