Claire Beth Ziegler, 71, entered eternal rest with the Lord after passing away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Claire Beth was born in New Orleans and lived most of her life St. Bernard parish until her evacuation to Eunice, Louisiana due to Hurricane Katrina. Claire Beth is preceded in death by her parents, Claire Wichser Ziegler and Melvin John Ziegler, Sr. She is survived by her loving sisters, Ann Barron, Dale Ziegler, and Cheryl Bacon Borgschulte (Jack), and her brother Melvin John Ziegler, Jr. (Becky). She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Claire Beth left the world knowing she was deeply loved by all. Her life was marked by her unwavering love for God, Mary, the Blessed Mother, and her family. Her warmth and generosity was evident by her willingness to help others, asking nothing in return. Claire Beth’s memories will live on through her family and the lives she touched with her great strength and unselfishness. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her remarkable spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
The family is grateful to Oak Lane Wellness & Rehab and Hospice Care in Eunice and sends special thanks to the staff for the compassionate care she received while there.
A funeral mass will be held on October 25, 2024 at 10:00 am in the Mausoleum Chapel of St. Bernard Memorial Gardens (enter through gate on LaFontaine St.). A private graveside service for the family will follow.
