Carolyn Dillon Kimble, a devoted wife and loving mother, passed away on June 6, 2024, at the age of 83. Born on July 5, 1940, Carolyn grew up in a small town where she was taught traditional family values. These principles guided her throughout her life, shaping her into the beloved matriarch of her family.
Carolyn was married to the late Leon Kimble Sr. Their marriage was a beacon of love, partnership, and mutual respect. Carolyn dedicated her life to make their house a home, filled with warmth, laughter, and an open door to all.
Carolyn was the proud mother of two children Leon Jr. and Chad. She was the heart and soul of their home and always present with a listening ear. Her children remember her as a nurturing presence who supported them with unwavering love. In addition, she was a doting grandmother and aunt, and fondly held the moniker Mimi Carol. She delighted in spending time with all her little ones, passing on her traditions.
Those who knew Carolyn will remember her for her love and dedication to her family. She was a woman of strength and immense kindness, who left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Carolyn is survived by her sons Leon Kimble Jr. and Chad Kimble (Nicole); her grandchildren Derek Kimble, Anthony Ryan Jr. (Elizabeth), Davon Kimble, Dylan Kimble, and Braydin Kimble; her sisters Gail Laine (Barry), and Linda Hoffmann (Larry); her brother-in-law Angelo Catania; her nieces Tammy Zacary (Bobby), Kelly Martin (David), and Katie Ladomerszky (Ted); her nephews Troy Catania (Donna) and Todd Laine (Jennifer); and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Kimble Sr., her parents Robert Dillon and Claire McCraine Dillon; her stepfather Walter E. Smith; and her sister Brenda Catania. Carolyn's legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, Chalmette, LA on Saturday, June 29, 2024 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM. A Catholic Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM. An Inurnment Service will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
