In loving memory of Beulah Corne, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, who passed away peacefully. She was a beloved figure to all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband August Corne Jr.; her children, Ruth Corne Gillespie and August Corne III; her parents, Magnus Boquet and Viola Boquet.
Beulah spent her early years in St. Bernard Parish, where she raised a family and made a lasting impact on those around her. She was widowed for 35 years, yet her strength and resilience carried her through life's challenges. Despite the loss of her husband, she remained a pillar of love and support for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, to whom she was devoted. A passionate cook, she found immense joy in preparing meals for her family, always ensuring that everyone had a seat at the table and felt the warmth of her love. Her grandkids were the light of her life, and she took great pride in their accomplishments, always offering encouragement, wisdom, and unconditional love. Beulah was a resident of St. Bernard Parish until Hurricane Katrina, which forced her to leave the community she loved. Despite the challenges of displacement, she carried with her the spirit of her roots, finding ways to stay connected with family and friends. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of her family. She was an extraordinary matriarch, and her memory will be cherished forever. May she rest in peace, forever surrounded by the love of her family.
All those whose lives Beulah has touched are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9:00 AM- 11:00 AM.
