Betty Nunez Raimer

Betty Nunez Raimer passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Raimer Sr. Loving mother of Lawrence Raimer Jr. (Lisa) and the late Ronald “Ronnie” Raimer. Daughter of the late Louis and Olivia Nunez. Sister of the late Edna Nunez and Louis Nunez II. Proud aunt of Louis Nunez III (Melanie) and the late Joan Ann Nunez. Also survived and affectionately known as “Nanny” to her great nieces Holly Adams (Mark), Sheri Lacava (Steve), Dana Motte (Steve) and Gina Wilson (Mark).

Betty was born on February 25, 1934 in Reggio, LA and was a longtime resident of Marrero, LA. She had a passion for crocheting and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family eating crabs and going to casinos. She will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard, LA.
