Betty Molero Pierce passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at her home. A lifelong resident of St. Bernard parish, she moved to Denham Springs after Hurricane Katrina. She was the beloved wife of the late Eldridge “Boo” Pierce and passed away on their wedding anniversary. Betty was the loving mother of Angela (Larry), and David (Kasey); loving grandmother of Jason (Shelly), Larry (Robyn), Joseph, and Lauren; and great-grandmother of Owen and Carson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Alice Molero, and was preceded in death by her brother, the late Daniel, and her daughter, the late Lori.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her puppy CoCoa, shopping, going to the casino, and vacationing in Fort Lauderdale. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be forever missed by all those she leaves behind. The family extends a heartfelt debt of gratitude to Thelma, Betty’s caregivers, as well as the Amedisys Hospice team, for their dedication and unwavering care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM. A funeral service will begin in Betty’s memory at 12:30 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
