Barry Richard Adams

It is with sorrow that our family announces the passing of Barry Richard Adams. He entered eternal rest on December 10, 2022, at the age of 60. Barry was preceded in death by his parents, the late Wilfred, Sr. and Jeanne Ayres Adams. He is survived by his wife Dolly Frey, his daughter Korin Melerine (Cody), stepdaughter Tonya DeBlois (John), grandchildren Mila and Beau Melerine and a brother Wilfred Adams, Jr. (Grace).

Barry was born on May 16, 1962, in New Orleans. He graduated from East Jefferson High School. Barry was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 130. He served as an electrician for 35 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed both hunting and fishing. Barry especially loved spending time at his camp in Mississippi.

Our family would like to extend special heartfelt thanks to the kind, caring staff and nurses at Passages Hospice. They held us up and helped us in ways we can never repay.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue Street, in Chalmette, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held in Barry's memory at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, please consider a small donation to any charity of your choice.
