Anthony Earl Esteves, Jr.

Anthony “Tony” Esteves Jr., died peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2023 surrounded by family, at the age of 82. He was born in New Orleans, LA and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. He had a heart of gold, infectious smile and he never met a stranger. He was a loving and devoted husband to Sharon Robin Esteves for over 60 years. Proud father of Anthony “Tony” Esteves III (Robin), Jason Esteves and the late Aaron Esteves Sr. Caring grandfather of Erica Esteves Ryan (Joseph), Ashlee Esteves, Aaron Esteves Jr., and Kasey Esteves; great grandfather to Sadie and Reese Ryan. Dedicated brother of Antoinette Authement and the late John Esteves. He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony “Tony” Esteves Sr. and Viola Robino Esteves.

Tony honorably served in the U.S. Navy. Using that passion of being on the boat, he came home to take care of his family and became a lifelong commercial fisherman. He loved to cook and be on the water. One of Tony’s biggest accomplishments was being a devoted, kind, caring and loving husband and father to his beautiful wife and children. He loved spending his spare time dancing and shooting pool with family and friends. He will be missed by us all.

A Memorial Gathering will take place in Tony's memory on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at POYDRAS BAPTIST CHURCH, 8213 Saro Lane, in St. Bernard, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. All are invited to attend.
