Alfred John Risey Jr.

Alfred “Alley Oop” “Whitey” John Risey Jr. passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the age of 75. He was the beloved husband of 52 years to Lucille Guerra Risey. Loving father of Donna Retif, Rhonda Stalcup (David), and the late Alfred Risey III. Son of the late Alfred John Risey, Sr., and Fredricker Krieger Risey. Brother of Joyce Dennis, Alfreda Risey, Andrew Risey, Ronald Risey, and Leonard Risey. Proud grandfather of Michael Retif, Jr., Derek Retif, Alexandra Stalcup, and Gabriel Stalcup. Great-grandfather of Dominic, Dayton, Donovan and Dainen Retif. Alfred was a native of New Orleans, LA and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Mandeville, LA. He was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend of many. He was our beloved workaholic, who treasured his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, May 15, 2015, from 10:00AM - 1:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 1:00PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery No.1.
