Albert Louis Schell III

Albert Louis Schell, III passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at the age of 87. He was the beloved husband of Josephine DiCarlo Schell for 52 years. Loving father of Rosalie Larson (Keven) and Albert Schell, IV (Theresa). Son of the late Albert Schell, Jr. and Rosalie Tilloy Schell. Proud grandfather of Alyssa Grace Schell and Alayna Marie Schell.

Albert was born on July 24, 1932 in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He was a US Army Veteran and an electrical engineer by trade. He proudly worked with Boeing on the Saturn Rocket Program at the Michoud Facility. He was strong in his faith and a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. In 2017 he was awarded the Order of St. Louis medal for his service to his church. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. He will be forever remembered as a hard worker who was devoted to his family and will be deeply missed by all of those whose lives he touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2320 Paris Rd., Chalmette, LA on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard, LA
