Robert retired from Osborne Crane Rental with 26 years of service. He was a member of Local 312, Operating Engineers since 1966. Robert was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud Pop of all his grandchildren. Pop loved God, family, Alabama football, fishing, deer hunting, and watching WWE wrestling. He had a passion for gardening and a desire for making sure everyone who visited his home left with a full stomach, and a heart full of joy. His witty sense of humor kept everyone laughing and entertained non-stop.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Shirley Cook; his daughter, Patty Long (Terry); his son, Randy Cook (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Misti Green (Ed), Jeremy Kellum (Andrea), Crystal Cook (Randi), Valerie Honeycutt (Heath); his great grandchildren, Tre’ Green, Courtney Green-Johnson (Lisa), Kainen Kellum, Riley Bowen, Ryker Cook, Saylor Honeycutt, and Skylar Honeycutt; his great-great grandchildren, Brailynn Densmore, Bodhi Densmore; his sister, Dumpy “Maudie Ruth” Kornegay; his special brother, M.C. Barger; and his sister-in-law, Ruth Stokes.
Pallbearers will be, Ed Green, Jeremy Kellum, Heath Honeycutt, Tre’ Green, Riley Bowen, Audie Barger, and Ryker Cook.

Services will be as followed. A visitation will be held Tuesday July 16, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Rockco Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Wednesday July 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Rockco Funeral Home in Centreville, Al with burial to follow at Johntown Cemetery in West Blocton AL.
