Patrick Webster Matlock, of Brent, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Patrick was born in Mt. Pleasant Michigan on March 16, 1952 to Ray Warren Matlock and Goldie Davis Matlock. He was 70 years old. He graduated from Putnam County High School, Cookeville TN in 1970. He studied drafting before joining the United States Air Force in 1971. After his honorable discharge from the service he was employed in several locations measuring and mapping properties for appraisal, eventually moving to Centreville, Alabama where he was employed at the Bibb County and Perry County Property Appraisal Offices for 38 years. After his retirement, he was self employed locally in Title Research.
He is survived by, Chrissy Wyatt, her husband Tony Wyatt. Their children, Skylar, Ryan and Seth; Jordan Matlock, his wife Brittany Matlock.Their children, Kylie, Macey, Sease and Drake; His sister, Gloria (Jody) McCartney, Brentwood, TN; brother, Micheal Matlock and Wife Karen, Goodlettesville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Rae Juana Armstrong, brother-in-law Charles Armstrong, brother-in-law John Carr, brother-in-law Harold McCartney, and nephew, William Armstrong.
From early childhood and throughout his life he always loved cars and trucks. He also enjoyed taking photographs as he traveled. The Cahaba River was a favorite spot for fishing as well as taking photos. Pat was the current President of the Civitan Club and a member for 13 years. He had many friends locally as well as many life long friends in Tennessee. He had taught classes at Auburn University related to his occupation and was a dedicated Auburn Sports Fan.
A Memorial Service for Patrick will be held Saturday, May 14th at 2pm at Pineview Baptist Church. Mark Lovett will be officiating.
