Parker Jerry Peir Hubbard, age 79, of West Blocton, Alabama passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Jerry was born July 23, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to Myrtle Hubbard and Parker Hubbard. Jerry lived a life of working in strip mines with heavy equipment. He worked with several different companies, but his favorite job was running draglines. He loved those machines. He was a very active member of the Masonic Lodge #509 in Brookwood, and was a dual member at the lodge in Moundville as well. He proudly served as a past master at both lodges.
Jerry is survived by his two daughters, Becky Sexton of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Dana Milligan (Cody) of San Antonio, Texas; his two sons, Marty Hubbard (Pam) of West Blocton, Alabama, and Danny Milligan (Shana) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and his three sisters, Ann Walker (Tommy) of Coaling, Alabama, Sonja LeBlanc (Brian) of Peterson, Alabama, and Marti Hubbard of Coaling, Alabama. He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Bates; his brother, Charlie Hubbard; and his parents, Parker and Myrtle Hubbard.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Life Assembly in Woodstock, AL. A funeral service will follow beginning at 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Chad Payne. Burial and graveside services will be held after at Hickman Chapel Cemetery.
