Margaret E. Cook, age 87, of West Blocton, Alabama passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Margaret was born October 1, 1935 to Chelch William Hicks and Vesta Mary Ann English Hicks. She was a member of Lowerytown Baptist Church. She spent her life dedicated to caring for her husband and son.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Merle Cook; and brother-in-law, Tommy Erwin. She is survived by her son, Merle "Rip" Cook, Jr.; sister, Mary Frances Hicks Erwin; nieces, Debra Ragland and Gena Latham; and nephews, Gary Erwin, Phillip Cook and Eddie Brown.
A memorial service will be held at Lowerytown Baptist Church on November 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Lowerytown Baptist Church in West Blocton, Alabama. Her final resting place will be at McCulley Cemetery in West Blocton, Alabama.
