Helen Louise Ingram Swindle Creel

Helen Louise Ingram Swindle Creel, age 87, of Brent, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at her daughter's home. She was born March 30, 1935 to parents, Joseph Earl Ingram and Maggie Lucille Hill Ingram.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Kinard (Carl); 5 grandchildren, Stephanie Jackson (Todd), Tina Nichols (Mike), Crystal Kinard, Jason Swindle (Ashlyn) and Davy Kinard; 9 great-grandchildren, Forrest Hale, Christian Nichols, Nikki Hobson, Kenzi Swindle, Kylie Montgomery, Kolin Montgomery, Cora Kinard, Abby Kinard, and Catherine Kinard; 4 sisters, Barbara Nell Averette, Irma Lagrone, Effie Lee King and Beatrice Wyatt.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Earl Ingram; mother, Maggie Lucille Ingram Averette; husbands, Melvin Swindle and James Creel; sons, Gary Lynn Swindle and Donnie Swindle; grandson, Shawn Cassidy Kinard; 3 brothers, Fuller Ingram, Earl Jr. Ingram and Robert Earl Ingram; 4 sisters, Patsy Breland, Earline Sims, Evie Breland and Peggy Averette.

She enjoyed serving God, going to church, gardening, sewing, cooking, singing and spending time with her family. God was always first in her life and she was a dear, faithful servant for him. She loved her family with all her heart. Her favorite Bible verse was John 3:16.

A visitation for Helen will be held Monday, September 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 805 Birmingham Rd, Centreville, Alabama 35042, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at Waycross Bible Methodist Church Cemetery in Marion, Alabama. Pastor Ray Grantham will officiate.

Pallbearers are Ronnie Averette, Sammy Breland, Maurice Breland, Forrest Hale, Johnny Ingram, and Todd Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Danielle Partridge Hobson, Ann Sheppard, Leigh Harbin and Lisa Doss, all of Amedysis Hospice.
