She was born in Inez, Texas and was raised in Beeville, Texas until her junior year. She relocated to Alabama and graduated from high school in Greensboro. During her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Darrell Wayne Collins; children, J. Ryan Crawford, Amy M. Crawford (Marcus Montz), Chris Collins (Amy), and Matthew Collins (Claire); grandchildren, Russell Crawford, Ana Collins, Bella Donna King, Lia Collins, and Milner Crawford.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jeff Otis and Josephine Washburn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Valley Cemetery or Hale County Animal Shelter.
