Dennis Earl Hawthorne

Dennis Earl Hawthorne, age 48, a lifelong residence of Centreville, Alabama passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024. He worked as a carpenter and steel worker in construction. He also had his artistic side and was always drawing something. Dennis loved to hunt, fish, and go for rides. A true redneck, he enjoyed shooting guns, listening to country music and drinking tequila and fireball.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hawthorne. He will be terribly missed by his mother, Gale Jackson; children, Brittney Hawthorne, Tanner Hawthorne, Caiden Hawthorne and Conner Hawthorne; mothers of his children, Cora Boynton, Amanda Whitfield and Kaila Edwards; brother, Robert Duncan; sister, Krystal Scoggins (Wayne); nieces and nephews, Ashley Poole (John), A. J. Payton (Devan), Destini Payton, Kyleigh Payton, Katelynn Scoggins, T. J. Payton and Kortney Scoggins; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and best friend, Robert Beane.

A celebration of life for Dennis will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 805 Birmingham Rd, Centreville, Alabama 35042. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM Rockco Funeral Home followed by burial at Old Union Cemetery in Pondville, Alabama. In memory of Dennis, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite camo.
