Debra Lee Haney, age 68, of West Blocton, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 following her struggle with cancer. She was born in Brunswick, Georgia to Charles Willie "Slim" Miller and Maggie Mae Britt Miller. She attended Bibb County High School and graduated from Central Alabama Community College. She worked at Brentwood Animal Hospital for Dr. Brown for over 20 years, where she combined her love of animals and connecting with the community. She attended Schultz Creek Baptist Church throughout her life. She loved fast cars, going to the mountains, shopping and eating out, and watching Alabama football. She dedicated her life to others and she could make anybody smile and laugh. Most of all, she loved being Kadence and Emely's Nanny.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Regina Love and Faye Criddle. She is survived by her son, Kevin Galloway (Jessie) of Talladega, AL; granddaughters, Kadence and Emely; brother, Charles Miller (Debbie) of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Debra will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, 805 Birmingham Rd, Centreville, Alabama 35042, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM. Pastor Mike Bell will officiate. Attire is casual.
Pallbearers are Chris Latham, Darren Miller, Darric Miller, Charles Miller, John Brown and Charles "Ricky" Bryant.
The family requests any memorial donations be directed to Bibb County Pound.
Debra will be laid to rest in Enon Cemetery, 5286 Montevallo Rd, Centreville, Alabama 35042
