Master Sargent David Lynn McCrary, age 71, of West Blocton, AL passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deborah McCrary; three daughters, Miranda Burke (Randy) of Centreville, AL, Teresa Thompson (Bill) of Longview, TX, Amy McCrary of Longview, TX; one brother, Danny L. McCrary (Sue) of Shreveport, LA; seven grandchildren, Peyton Leach, Bailie Leach, Jackson Matthews, Kason Voight, Clay Burke, Ethan Burke and Brody Burke. He is preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Maudie McCrary. David served in the United States Airforce Reserves for eighteen and a half years and retired as a Master Sargent. He served six years in the Marine Reserves, twenty years with Caddo Parish Sheriffs Department in Shreveport, LA and worked at UAB Hospital as a Bio Engineer for twenty one years. Special friends include, Rebecca Price, Damien Price and Joe Morris.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Rockco Funeral Home-Centreville from 11AM - 12PM. Funeral Service will begin at 12PM with Rev. Bobby Scales presiding. Honors and Burial will take place at the Alabama National Cemetery at 2PM.
