He is preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Hoyt.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Bright Hoyt; son, Wade Hoyt; daughter, Crystal Hoyt; seven grandchildren; sister, Deborah Ford (Billy); mother-in-law, Betty Bright; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for David will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Little Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Eoline, Alabama. Bro. Shannon Allen will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bright, Cody Manderson, Little Rick Wilson Jr., Cole Manderson, Clay Worrels and Josh Pratt.
