DAVID DAVIS, 97 years old passed away Friday August 20, 2021 at home. He was born October 5, 1923 in Cullman County, Alabama. He was a delivery driver, a member of the Randolph Baptist Church and the Lawley Volunteer Fire Department. He was also President of the Alabama Association of Volunteer Fire Departments as well as a life time member. He retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service and is a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Davis is survived by his daughter, Paula Davis Saliba and her husband, Samuel J. Saliba of Montgomery, AL. Grandchildren, Daniel J. Saliba (Yarcet) of Birmingham, AL and Jennifer Cupples (Matthew) of Ooltewah, TN. Great Grandchildren Lucas and Addyson Cupples as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Ora Lee Hubbard Davis of Randolph AL; his parents, Addie and Hiram Davis of Cullman, AL, sisters, Emma Ryan, Gusta Morgan and Jewel Childers; brothers, Artemus Davis, Charles Davis, Kermit Davis and Alzono Davis.
Visitation was Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Randolph Baptist Church from 9:30AM - 10:30AM with a Graveside Service starting at 11AM @ Adjoining cemetery. Rev. Charles Teague and Rev. Donald Harris presiding.
