Billy Wayne Kornegay

Billy Wayne Kornegay, age 63, passed away October 5, 2016, at his home in Eoline, Alabama. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 8 at Haysop Baptist Church in Eoline with Brother George Marchart, Brother Josh Young, and Brother Shamus Drake officiating. Billy is survived by his wife, Donna, daughters, Kasie Stamps (Stan) and Tammy Webb (Chris), grandsons, Cam Webb, Hayden Webb, Coleman Stamps, and Carson Stamps, mother, Susie, brothers J.W (Mary Ann), Ray (Sandy) and Ronnie (Jerri). Billy was preceded in death by his father, Welford and brother, Freddie. Billy was retired from the City of Brent where he served the city as the Street Superintendent. He had been the Assistant Fire Chief of Eoline Fire Department for over twenty years as well as a member of the Brent Fire Department. Pall Bearers are Kenneth Colburn, Thomas Colburn, Glenn Peak Jr., Terry Black, David Tucker, and Joe Bailey. Honorary Pall Bearers are the Members of Cahaba Falls Country Club, Eoline Fire Department, Employees of Cahaba Medical Care, Employees of Hospice of West Alabama, and Employees of Shelby Baptist Hospital.
