Shirley J Dickinson, 58, passed away August 16, 2011, at home surrounded by family after a 2 1/2yr battle with cancer. She was born on September 9, 1952 in Lima, Ohio, to Frank and Jo Soden. At a young age her family moved to Burbank, WA, where she graduated from Burbank High School. She met her future husband through a motorcycle group and began a family together. With 2 young children, they moved to Centralia, WA to raise their family. Shirley worked for National Frozen Foods for 30 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary.
She enjoyed planting flowers in her yard, singing karaoke, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Dickinson of Chehalis, WA; parents, Frank and Jo Soden of Burbank, WA; daughter, Monica (Zach) LeBaron of Rochester, WA; son, Kevin (Amy) Dickinson of Ellensburg, WA; sisters, Rita Ringhoff of Missoula, MT, Helen (Mark) Chism of Burbank, WA; brother, Charles (Serena) Soden of Burbank, WA and 5 grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her grandparents Al and Lucy Schimic and brother-in-law Rudy Ringhoff.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 10am-5pm at Sticklin Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 27, 10am at Sticklin Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. View Cemetery. A potluck will be held at Chehalis Eagles following the service.
