Patricia was born May 29, 1934, to Florence Murphy Sherman and John Sherman in Flint, Michigan. When her family moved to Washington, they settled in Toledo, WA, where she graduated from Toledo High School.
After meeting the love of her life, Robert Sayers, they married on May 25, 1957. Together, they raised their family in Ryderwood, WA, and were married for 64 years.
Later in life, Patricia enjoyed traveling and going to dances at the local grange halls with her husband, Robert, and taking grandchildren on trips around the northwest. Together, she and Robert volunteered at the Lewis County Senior Center, delivering meals for the Meals on Wheels Program. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at the Lewis County Senior Center.
In her pastime, Patricia enjoyed playing bingo with friends, working on word puzzles, sewing, crocheting, reading books, and spending time with her beloved animals.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Robert Sayers; sons, John Sayers, Daniel (Sherrie) Sayers, Stephen Sayers and William (Tina) Sayers; daughter, Susan (John) Franck; daughter-in-law, Linda Sayers; and sister, Bessie Smith.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, John Sherman, and mother, Florence Murphy Sherman; sons, Robert Sayers Jr. and Earl Sayers; daughter-in-law, Theresa Sayers; sisters, Lucille Sturdevant, Janet Christensen and Genevieve Sherman; brothers, Eldwin Sherman and Earl (Pete) Sherman.
Patricia also leaves behind her grandchildren; Tamara, Lauren, Tiffany, Julie, David, Matthew, William, John (JR), Diana, Alicia, Danielle, Nicholas, Amanda, Melanie, Samuel, Donovan and Devanie, David; as well as several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Providence Hospice for all the care and support they provided Patricia and her family during her last days.
A viewing will be held at Sticklin Funeral Chapel on April 28, 2022, from 1pm to 4pm.
