Patricia Ruby Ayres Schonack, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2014 at her home in Centralia, WA in which she has resided for the past 62 years. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 13, 1927 in Aberdeen, WA to Theodore and Sophie Ayres.
Patricia grew up in Aberdeen where she graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1945. After high school she attended Grays Harbor College. She worked for National Bank of Commerce in Aberdeen for 5 years where she made lifelong friends, including Ruth Wayman, and Barbara Crook.
Patricia married the love of her life, Robert R. Schonack in 1949 in Aberdeen and they were happily married for 52 years. Patricia enjoyed her family and her home and dedicated herself to nurturing and raising her children. She ran an efficient, joy filled home where her family learned responsibility and how to love and embrace all.
Patricia is survived by her children, Gary (Mary) Schonack and Ed (Michelle) Schonack of Centralia, Debbie (Dave) Campbell of Chehalis and Lynda Schonack of Centralia; grandchildren Krista (Ray) Arellanes , Wyndee (Ben) Lomedico, and 3 great grandchildren, Zoey, Kaydence and Isabelle all of Centralia. She is survived by Sister in Law, Barbara Ayres, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Schonack, mother, Sophie Ayres, Father, Theodore Ayres, sister Juanita Ayres Rowe, brothers Ted and Lawrence Ayres, and sister-in-law, Patty Ayres.
Visitation may be made between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Thursday, October 9 at Sticklin Funeral Chapel.
A memorial service for Patricia Schonack is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 11 at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, 1437 S. Gold St., Centralia with Rev. Alta Smith officiating. A luncheon will follow the chapel service in the Sticklin Hospitality Room. A private interment has been arranged.
