On Thursday, Feb. 23rd, 2012 Ladeva Ann Dahlin was the guest of honor at a Welcome Home party hosted by Our Savior Jesus Christ in glory of Heaven. Though Ladeva had many trials, toils, and snares over the past four years in fighting cancer, she triumphed over it and has received her reward in going home.
Ladeva was born on March 5, 1944 in Clovis, NM to Bert and Ollie Kempf. Along with her six siblings, the family moved to Washington where she attended school in Onalaska, and loves her classmates deeply even still. It was there, that she met the love of her life on this earth, Warren Lee Dahlin. They were married on March 1, 1963 and enjoyed 49 years of marriage as very best friends. They made their home in Toledo, and later in Chehalis. Ladeva retired from Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute in February of 2007.
She dearly loved her job and work family and it gave her great joy to be able to love people through her position as surgery hostess. They raised three children and seven grandchildren whom were all present with her over the past weeks to celebrate her life, our love of her and the goodness of God in our lives.
Ladeva’s life cannot be defined by mere words, as the impact that she has had on lives is so widespread. She will always be remembered for her selflessness, desire to serve others, and always having a kind and loving word for all. She was an advocate for those in need, an encourager, and a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. The life lived by Ladeva has produced joy far-surpassing sorrow.
Ladeva is survived by her best friend/husband Warren; children Carmen and Steve Grace, Kimberly and Brian Gibson, and Troy and Maria Dahlin; her grandchildren Cameron Lotton, Carson Lotton, Kale Lotton, Brittain Gibson, Paris Gibson, Sadie Dahlin, and Nate Dahlin; two brothers Dean and Ernie Kempf, and three sisters Darlene Foister, Edna Hamilton, and Donna Zyzniewski along with aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Her parents, and her brother Frank, went before her to help plan her Welcome Home party in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held at Centralia Community Church of God at 11:00 AM on March 17th, 2012. For any additional information please go to www.ladeva.blogspot.com, a blog that was set up to communicate with the vast number of loved ones during her courageous fight over the past four years.
Arrangements under the direction of Sticklin Funeral Chapel, Centralia, WA.
