John P. Massett, age 57, passed away at his home in Chehalis, Washington on December 12, 2020. John was born on November 6, 1963 to Pete and Charlene Massett at Shasta General Hospital in Redding, California.
Great was John's faithfulness to his wife, family, and most assuredly his lord Jesus Christ. He was married in 1999 to Elizabeth Dawn Jones-Massett and raised two daughters. John's love for God was undeniable and he shared this love with as many individuals as he could through discussion, prayer, and helping others. Through these interactions, he made our community a better place. He also loved connecting with God in the great outdoors. John taught hunters safety and participated in Duck's Unlimited and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation which was no surprise as he was such an Avid Hunter. He was also active in many Christian groups from motorcycle clubs to men's church groups. John loved his family and showed so much pride in his three grandbabies.
John is survived by his wife, Liz; daughters, Cheyney Jones and Brittany Torney; grandchildren, Azalea, Canyon, and Owen; sisters, Sandy, Barb, and Jerri; and brother, Larry.
He is preceded in death by his father, Pete Massett; mother, Charlene Massett; and brothers, David, Kenny and Joe.
John will be laid to rest in the wilderness area of Lewis County.
