John Forest Main

John took his first breath on October 2, 1940. He was born to Allan and Louise Main of Shelton, WA. A caring brother and graduate of Mineral High School (Mineral, WA), John enjoyed a 42 year long career as a Foreman at National Frozen Foods Corporation. He also lived in the same house for over 50 years. John married the love of his life, Dorothy J. Main on December 29, 1976. Together they raised three children: Julie, Steve, and Mike. John was a very dedicated, hard worker who rarely took a sick day. He was a devoted husband and an avid gardener. Together, he and Dorothy would attend to their flower beds.

John is preceded in death by his father Allan Main, his mother Louise Main, his brother Allan Main Jr., his wife Dorothy Main, and his grandson Landon Bornstein.

John is survived by his daughter Julie Bornstein (Gus), his stepsons Steve Alexy and Mike Alexy, and his grandchildren Karley Bornstein, Kaitlyn Bornstein, and Kayla Bornstein.

The family would like to thank John’s neighbors, Leah and Kat, for being there every day to help care for John. There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on June 29, 2023 at Sticklin Funeral Chapel (1437 S Gold St., Centralia, WA 98531.) There will be a graveside service on August 12, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Claquato Cemetery (142 Stearns Rd, Chehalis, WA 98532.)
