Douglas Lawrence Hill

Doug enlisted in the Navy in 1945 and served on a ship in the Philippines until the end of World War II. He then attended, at the time, Washington State College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture/Animal Nutrition. Doug managed the Darigold Feed Plant in Chehalis from 1959 through 1983. He worked for Pacific Molasses for Four years until he retired. He was a lifelong hardcore Cougar fan. In college he met and married Dorothy Patricia Watkins. They were married 68 years until Dorothy's passing in 2018. They lived in Chehalis from 1959 until his passing.

Doug is survived by his children Steve (Sheri) Hill and Susan Haerling; grandchildren Joel, Laura, Katy, and Anne; and great-grandchildren Eva, Bryce, Hailey, Adriana, Adam, and Ian. He is preceded in death by brothers Donald Hill and Robert Hill.

A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery on Friday, April 25th at 1pm. Arrangements are in the care of Sticklin Funeral Chapel.
