Arthur Otto Ackerman, age 66, of Centralia, Washington passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 in his home of Grand Mound after an extensive battle with heart disease. Art was born July 10, 1955 to Winifred and Otto Ackerman in Seattle. A member of the cub scouts as a child, Art grew up enjoying hunting and fishing. He made a career out of logging, flagging and construction. Art was an avid coin collector as well as Seahawks fan. He was a member of the ABATE of Washington as well as the Eagles. In retirement, Art found pleasure in family outings and drives in the hills.
Art is survived by his siblings Loren (Shelli) and Phil (Melissa) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Art was preceded in death by his wife Loretta Lund Ackerman; his father Otto Ackerman and his mother Winifred Ackerman.
Art will be laid to rest in Dryad Cemetery on Saturday, November 6th at 11:00.
