William Lee Russell

William Lee Russell, a resident of Pride, LA born October 28, 1960 was called by the Lord January 16, 2023 at the age of 62 surrounded by loved ones. He was a Godly man and found joy serving others. Simple pleasures of spending time with family and friends, rocking on the porch telling stories and always taking care of those in need are a few things he was most known for. His love for his wife and children was immeasurable and his grandchildren were the apples of his eye. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, tinkering, and cooking breakfast for the kids. He joined IBEW Local Union 995 and then continued his 40 year electrical career at Georgia Pacific, where he later retired. Survived by his loving wife, Donna Conrad Russell, children and spouses Todd & Mary Ann Russell, Lindsey & Blake Meliet, grandchildren Kason Russell, Wyatt Meliet, Jase Russell, and Mandy Lynn Meliet, brother Mike Russell and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Gene & Yvonne Russell and brother Earl “Rusty” Russell. Pallbearers are Todd Russell, Blake Meliet, Lee Russell, Mike Todd, Rex Cupit, Randy Freemyer and Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Devall and Mike Russell. Visitation will be held at Central Funeral Home, 9995 Hooper Road, Central, LA 70818 on Friday, January 20th from 10:00 am until funeral service at 1:00 pm presided by Pastor Tony Hand. Burial in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, 17022 Liberty Road, Pride, LA 70770.
