William Graham Reeves, a resident of Central City, passed away at his home in Central at the age of 91. Graham was born in Virginia and was a graduate of Zachary High School and Austin College. After college, he served in the Army and later worked as an accountant for a local CPA firm. For the past 45 years, he has been associated with the LeBlanc household and businesses owned by the William H. LeBlanc, Jr. Family. Before the digital age, he considered himself to be a photographer. For many years he was a runner and participated in numerous road races. He methodically worked out at Spectrum health club, enjoyed square dancing, and was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church for over thirty years.
Graham is preceded in death by his father, Rev. Hiram L. Reeves, who served from 1943-49 as
Pastor of The Plains Presbyterian Church; mother, Margaret Buie Reeves; and his brother Glenn Reeves, of Cape Girardeau, MO, and canine friend, Rosie.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hicks Reeves; four sons, Tyler Reeves of Washington, DC, Kyle Reeves of Baton Rouge, LA, Darryl Reeves of Carbondale, CO, and Dwayne Reeves and wife Juliet of San Antonio, TX; and his two sisters, Genevieve Carlisle and family of Dixie, LA, and Trudy Woodson and family of Waco, TX; numerous grand and great-grandchildren; his canine friend, Daisy; and his two feline friends, Baby Kitty and Miss Magnolia.
He was close to the children of Patricia and considers them as his own - Sydney Lowe and her husband Shane; Carla Irwin and her husband Bruce, and Thomas Burns and his wife Laura.
A memorial Service will be held Saturday July 23 at 3:00 pm at Magnolia Methodist Church with visitation from 2:00 - 3:00 pm.
